Readers Share Their Lists Of “Most Influential”

    Published: Tuesday, February 20, 2007

In a recent column, I listed 50 people that I wished could be regarded as "most influential" in our country. In that column, I invited readers to share the names of people that they feel are deserving of that recognition. Boy, did they! Scores of readers responded. Not surprising, I suppose, is that most of the responders repeated several names. Many of the names I know; some I do not.

Nevertheless, here are the names of people that readers said they would like to see regarded as America's "most influential" leaders. They are listed in no particular order. (I am not responsible for spelling errors. I took the names as they were provided.)

Neal Boortz, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Henry Lamb, John McArthur, Mother Angelica, Alex Jones, David Ray Griffin, Paul Proctor, Noah Hutchings, Alan Franklin, Berit Kjos, Nancy Levant, Lou Dobbs, William Norman Grigg, William Jasper, Bob Unger, Paul Harvey, Ann Graham Lotts, Walter Williams, Drew Malone, G. Edward Griffin, Tupper Saucy, Ralph Epperson.

Lindsay Williams, Eric Jon Phelps, Bill Deagle, Alan Sears, Greg Palast, Vic Eliason, Jim Schneider, Roy Masters, Lew Rockwell, Michael Badnarik, Aaron Russo, Judie Brown, Dennis Cuddy, Tony Dungy, Danny Wuerffel, Irwin Baxter, Wendy Wright, Joel Skousen, David Brownlow, Deanna Spingola, Michael Ruppert, Catherine Austin Fitts, Mike Rivero, Bill Bonner, Jack Hook.

Michelle Malkin, Michael Steele, Thomas Sowell, Ward Connerly, Diane Alden, John Bolton, Clarence Thomas, Jane Orient, Curtis Caine, Dan Jordan, Jack McLamb, Joe Banister, James Traficant, Bob Solomon, Walter Myers, Jim Cabaniss, Dave VonKleist, Joyce Riley, Joan Veon, Bernadine Smith, Mark Koernke, Scott Bradley, John McManus, Robert McCurry, Ravi Zacharias.

There you have it. Did you recognize any of your personal heroes? One thing appears obvious to me: most of the names that I recognized on this list would be better than who we currently have leading and speaking for our country, that is for sure.
