He who permits himself to tell a lie once, finds it much easier to do it a second and third time, till at length it becomes habitual; he tells lies without attending to it, and truths without the world's believing him. This falsehood of the tongue leads to that of the heart, and in time depraves all its good dispositions.
Thomas Jefferson
The lies about Iran emanating from the Trump administration are not only multitudinous; they are malicious and fallacious.
It has been confirmed by U.S. intelligence agencies, including by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard under oath before Congress in March 2025 that Iran did NOT possess a nuclear weapon and was NOT pursuing a nuclear weapon. This has been the consistent testimony of our intelligence agencies for at least the last 20 years. Yet, during those same 20 years, Benjamin Netanyahu and Senator Lindsey Graham have been constantly fomenting that Iran is two weeks away from possessing a nuclear weapon.
It was all a lie.
And the same people who accused Iran of building a nuclear weapon also accused Iran of being the “Number One sponsor of terrorism.” This is likewise a bald-faced lie. Our own State Department identifies Sunni Islam subgroups such as al-Qaeda, ISIS, ISIL, al-Nusra, etc., as leading the list of terrorist organizations. Yet, these are the groups that Donald Trump helped to put in power in Syria, and he continues to fund, arm and train these terrorist organizations.
And though you’ll never read this in any official document in the U.S. government, you and I both know that the true Number One terrorist state in the world is Israel—accompanied by the United States.
Don’t take my word for it. Watch this impassioned speech by a career U.S. intelligence officer. (You really need to watch it.)
Another lie being regurgitated across America’s public airways—and across evangelical churches—is that Iran is an apocalyptic state whose leadership is a bunch of insane religious lunatics who want to use war as a means of fulfilling their religious doomsday beliefs.
Here is a classic example of the above by a true-life evangelical lunatic, Greg Locke, that illustrates what I’m saying.
If you’re not able to view the video, here is the transcript of what Locke said:
I'm sick of all these Christians saying we ought to have peace with Islam. Islam is a satanic death cult, and they would cut your head off before I said "Amen" in this sermon if they had a chance to. What they ought to do is evacuate up there on the hill and get a great big missile and blow that wicked Dome of the Rock plum off of the spot where it's standing right now, so we can get that third temple rebuilt and usher in the coming of Jesus!
Tell me again who the lunatics are who want to use war as a means of fulfilling their religious doomsday beliefs.
And not to be outdone, in a recent appearance on Good Morning America, Secretary of State Marco Rubio repeated in his own way the schizophrenic paranoia of Greg Locke against Iran as justification for Trump’s illegal war of aggression against that country.
Here is a transcript of Rubio’s statement:
Well, I think the first point the president makes is he prefers diplomacy. As I said, those efforts are nascent. There is [sic] messages being relayed back and forth, some conversations going on, including through intermediaries. And he always prefers that.
Look, if the Iranian regime had come forward at any point in the past and said, “We're going to walk away from our nuclear ambitions; we're going to do nuclear energy the way every other country in the world (primarily almost every other country in the world) does it, and that is through a peaceful means in which you bring in the fuel, and it's supervised and so forth; we're going to stop supporting terrorist groups across the region.”
Look at this region. Every single terrorist group in this region has a link to the Iranian regime, every single one: the Houthis, Hezbollah, Hamas, the Shia militias that are attacking everyone out of Iraq. Every single one of these groups and all the destabilization in this region tracks directly back to the Iranian regime.
Those things have to be addressed. And if Iran had been willing to address those in the past, we wouldn't be having this interview on this topic right now. Their refusal to do so and their continuing move towards one day acquiring a nuclear capability. These people are lunatics. They are insane. They are religious zealots who can never be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon because they have an apocalyptic vision of the future. And all of their neighbors know that, by the way, which is why all of their neighbors have been supportive of the efforts.
In response to Rubio’s magic carpet ride, former CIA analyst Larry Johnson said:
You know, the lies that Marco “Narco” Rubio just told are off the charts. The only crazed operators that have been engaged in supporting terrorism in the Middle East is us. Al-Jilani, anybody remember that? Hayat Tahrir al-Sham? One of the top 10 terrorist groups. And the majority of the terrorism, 90% of the terrorism, according to State Department, which Rubio ought to read the d*mn reports, is carried out by Sunni terrorists. And in fact, Iran has been fighting ISIS, fighting al-Qaeda, fighting al-Nusra because those radical Sunnis were attacking and killing Shia. That's number one.
Number two, Iran has been a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty. Iran was allowing nuclear inspectors into its nuclear facilities. Israel does not. Israel's the pariah. Israel is not a signatory to the NPT. Israel doesn't allow outside inspections. And Israel's got the [nuclear] bomb.
So, this kind of projection and attempt to demonize Iran for the very things that Israel and the United States are doing is sick.
I’ve heard retired U.S. Army Colonel and former Secretary of State Chief of Staff Lawrence Wilkerson say more than once that as a result of the war in Iran, “Israel is going to disappear.” I believe it is very conceivable that Colonel Wilkerson is right.
The Zionist State of Israel is NOT a fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. That postulation is a fanciful invention of John Darby and C.I. Scofield. It is a devilish deception. And as with all devilish deceptions, it will be shown to the world to be a devilish deception and fall into the dustbin of lies.
Maybe sooner than later. I would argue that the collapse of Zionist Israel has already begun.
If you turn off FOX News and do some investigative research of your own, it won’t take you long to see what the conditions in Israel today are really like. Hezbollah is decimating the Israeli army in Lebanon. For example, Hezbollah destroyed 100 Israeli Merkava tanks (and their crews) in 48 hours last week. Hamas is defeating the IDF in Gaza. Tens of thousands of Israelis have already fled Israel or are now attempting to flee. The IDF is an exhausted, demoralized shell of what it was. About one-third of the army has already deserted. Much of Tel Aviv and Haifa look like Gaza. And if Trump moronically sends ground forces into Iran not only will that cement the collapse of Israel but also the collapse of the gulf monarchies.
In the U.S., the only ones still holding on to the antichrist concoction of Zionism are a small radical fringe group within MAGA (Mark Levin and Ben Shapiro will be out of work soon) and the fanatical “rapture” cult within evangelicalism.
The rest of the world already sees Zionism as the global albatross that it is.
Would it not be the irony of ironies if the biggest stooge for Israel to ever live, President Donald J. Trump, in his sycophantic obeisance to Netanyahu and his cabal of Epstein billionaires, would become the human instrument of the destruction of the Zionist state? In 70 AD, it took the Roman army; in 2026 AD, all it may take is one man.
Talk about poetic justice!
Marco Rubio, tell us again who the lunatics are that have an apocalyptic vision of the future. You can start by looking in the mirror.
