Turn on Christian cable television programs, and you constantly hear, “Pray for Ukraine.” Listen to almost any Christian radio broadcast, and you constantly hear, “Pray for Ukraine.” Attend almost any evangelical church, and you will hear the pastor plead, “Pray for Ukraine.”
Christian libertarian writer Laurence Vance has written a very timely and insightful treatise in this regard:
The latest empty cliché that one hears out of the mouth of Christians is “Pray for Ukraine.” But do Christians who utter this pious platitude even know what they mean when they say it?
I suppose that it is supposed to mean that we should pray for the people of Ukraine who are suffering because of the unjustified Russian invasion of their country. If only things were that simple.
Some observations are in order.
This appeal is based on the overly simplistic yet false and evil notion of Ukraine, good; Russia, bad.
This trite expression in the form of a prayer request is virtue signaling at its worst.
I think we are at the point now where someone saying “Pray for Ukraine” is the verbal equivalent of someone wearing a face mask.
If U.S. soldiers are heroes for following their government’s orders, then why aren’t Russian soldiers heroes for doing the same?
How come I have never heard any Christians say that we should pray for the ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine who were shelled for the past eight years by the Ukrainian military?
If we should pray for the people of Ukraine, then what about the Uyghurs in northwest China who have been persecuted by the Chinese government for years?
And what about the Chinese people? Their government keeps imposing strict lockdowns because of its ridiculous zero-Covid policy.
Where were these Christians when the U.S. military was killing Vietnamese, Laotians, and Cambodians by the millions during the Vietnam War?
Where were these Christians when the U.S. military was bombing Serbia in 1999 (in the name of human rights, justice, and ethnic tolerance, of course)?
There has been a horrendous civil war in Ethiopia for the past two years. Why do we never hear Christians say that we should pray for Ethiopia?
Would Christians be saying “Pray for Yemen” if the United States was not supporting Saudi Arabia in its war in Yemen?
And what about the people of Saudi Arabia suffering under the brutal rule of the Mohammed bin Salman regime? Shouldn’t we pray for them? Oh, I forgot, they are Muslims.
How many of these Christians expressed any concern about all the widows and orphans that the U.S. military made over a twenty-year period in Afghanistan?
How many of these Christians offered up prayers for the people of Iraq—a country that never attacked the United States—when hundreds of thousands of them were injured, maimed, or killed during the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq and, before this, as a consequence of the brutal sanctions that the United States imposed on the Iraqi people?
Why should we take any of these Christians seriously when they say “Pray for Ukraine”?
So, yes, pray for Ukraine. But pray for the civilians of the world who are on the receiving end of bombs and bullets from any army. And pray especially for the civilians of the world who are on the receiving end of weapons made in the good ole USA by merchants of death like Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Raytheon, General Dynamics, and Northrop Grumman.
Bravo, Laurence!
The vast majority of evangelicals merely use their religion as a way to justify and promote their politics. Say it another way: Their religion is the sacrifice that they lay on the altar of their politics. They don’t see themselves as being made in God’s image; they see God as being made in their image. And that image is 100% political. The ubiquitous “Pray for Ukraine” mantra is a perfect illustration of this reality.
If evangelicals want to pray for a nation, they should begin by praying for America—or better yet themselves, because America is under the judgment of God, which more accurately means, the American CHURCH is under the judgment of God.
“Judgment must begin at the house of God.” (I Peter 4:17)
When we talk about the Deep State, never forget that that term also includes the establishment churches of this country, whether it is the Roman Church, the Mormon Church or the vast majority of Protestant churches. They are all in bed with antichrist Babylon, which is the spiritual capital of the Deep State.
Again, our biggest problems are spiritual, NOT political. And that means the biggest problem is the spiritual adultery of our churches with the antichrist beastly system now taking place.
America is almost wholly given over to the antichrist beastly system—and America is the leader of the Western World, which means the way America goes is the way the whole Western World will go. Christians around the world understand this, and they are praying—not for Ukraine—but for America. This is because what they see happening in America frightens them—as well it should.
Among the many destructive policies enacted by the central government in Washington, D.C., is an illegal immigration boondoggle that will ultimately—and it won’t take too long—destroy the very fabric of America.
According to a national security expert:
As massive migrant caravans continue to cross the U.S.-Mexico border, one national security expert signaled the border crisis will only get worse for Americans - and their pocketbooks - once the Biden administration drops Title 42.
"The numbers coming across are already being felt across the nation in your schools, health care system, crime, every sector of the American economy and our social fabric," "Overrun" author Todd Bensman said on "Mornings with Maria" Monday. "Whether the president wants to admit it or not, Americans are going to feel this in the pocketbook for a long, long time, probably permanently."
Officials at the southern border are reportedly seeing massive migrant numbers at the southern border, along with a number of large groups, ahead of the expected end of the ability to expel migrants under the Title 42 public health order in a few weeks.
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sources told Fox News that migrant numbers for FY 2023, which began in October, are at over 485,000 and are expected to hit the half a million mark this weekend. So far, 156,000 have been expelled under Title 42.
"The intelligence community is saying that when they drop Title 42 on December 21st, assuming that happens, that we'll be looking at anywhere from 12,000 to 18,000 [crossings] a day," Bensman told host Maria Bartiromo. "That's just an absolute Category 5 hurricane we've never experienced before in the United States."
The Biden administration’s proposals to grant protected status to some migrants is a "policy issue" that only encourages more illegal crossings on top of the potential repeal of Title 42.
"There's a double-barreled shotgun aimed at the whole thing right now where you have Congress, a lame duck Congress, talking about amnesties and all of these new benefits," Bensman said. "The entire world is watching every single word coming out of the lame-duck Congress right now. They are smart people making rational decisions about laying their $10,000 smuggling money down to enter the country, knowing that they're going to get in with all these benefits."
"The president is deliberate in his decision not to visit the border. He recently was quoted saying, ‘That's not a serious issue to me, that's not a serious issue at all to the country,’" the national security expert said. "But the fact is, is [sic] that the numbers that are coming across are historic beyond anything in the American experience, and is [sic] transformational."
Unbridled illegal immigration is America’s Trojan Horse. And both major parties in DC have collaborated together to facilitate the alien army that is being let loose amongst us.
While many of these illegal aliens are simply poor downtrodden people who are desperately looking for a better life, a large percentage of these illegals are hardened criminals (rapists, thieves, violent marauders, killers, gang members, drug dealers and addicts) and Marxist revolutionaries.
If you don’t have an AR-15-style rifle or a Glock-style pistol—or an adequate revolver—that you can carry and keep with you, you should get one, because illegal-alien violent crimes are escalating exponentially in America, in every part of the country, and will continue to escalate at even higher rates in the very near future as millions of illegals pour across the border.
None of this concerns Joe Biden and his fellow miscreants in our nation’s capital. All they see is a treasure trove of new voters to keep them elected. Plus, they live behind iron gates, steel fences or concrete walls and armed security guards.
But America simply does not have the infrastructure to accommodate the multiple millions of illegals already here and on their way. There are not enough teachers to teach them; there are not enough policemen to keep law and order; there are not enough physicians and nurses to care for their medical needs; there are not enough laborers to maintain our cities’ utilities, roads, bridges, homes and businesses. And there are not enough taxpayers to meet all of the financial demands of these foreign freeloaders. Not nearly enough!
Add to this the fact that authorities are now in utter distress and disbelief over the escalating sudden deaths of working-age Americans. They are calling it: Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS).
There are nearly 100,000 excess deaths happening per month in the USA right now, according to life insurance companies that are sounding the alarm over what Dr. Robert Malone calls a “mass casualty event” that’s unfolding due to covid vaccines.
An article published by The Center Square (Indiana) reveals how Scott Davison, CEO of OneAmerica (a life insurance company) is sounding the alarm over a 40% increase in total deaths among Americans aged 18 to 64 (i.e. working-aged Americans):
“We are seeing, right now, the highest death rates we have seen in the history of this business – not just at OneAmerica,” the company’s CEO Scott Davison said during an online news conference this week. “The data is consistent across every player in that business.”
Davison said the increase in deaths represents “huge, huge numbers,” and that’s it’s [sic] not elderly people who are dying, but “primarily working-age people 18 to 64” who are the employees of companies that have group life insurance plans through OneAmerica.
“And what we saw just in third quarter, we’re seeing it continue into fourth quarter, is that death rates are up 40% over what they were pre-pandemic,” he said.

Add those last two reports together, and it’s not very difficult to see that a tsunami is building in America that, if not stopped, is going to lay waste to our country.
We don’t need to worry about China, Russia, Iran or North Korea, because between the criminals in our political institutions and the cowards in our churches, they are facilitating America’s destruction all by themselves.
Pray for Ukraine? Pray for America!
P.S. I recently had a viewer ask me to recommend a list of books that should be included in his Christian library. I answered his request by making a short 12-minute video entitled Every Christian Library Should Contain These Books.
Here is that video.
