This column was written before President Trump’s State Of The Union Address (SOTU). Hardly ever is there anything in any president’s SOTU speech worth writing about anyway. As a matter of fact, I never watch a SOTU speech. Never!
In the first place, watching the show (and that’s all it is) makes me pure sick—I mean nauseatingly sick. In the second place, it is the biggest waste of time I can think of. The SOTU speech is nothing more than a clever, conniving clown act where a big, fat liar stands in front of a room full of big, fat liars who put on a circus act to make people feel comfortable and happy with the fact that their government is being run by big, fat liars. It’s a façade. It’s pure theater, nothing more than the year’s biggest television con job—no matter which President is doing the talking. I’ll read the text of the speech in a few days without having to get sick watching the public display of abject hypocrisy and duplicity from both sides of the aisle.
Without hearing or reading a word of Trump’s SOTU address, I can tell you this much: All of Trump’s talk about getting America out of endless wars and foreign military conflicts is just so much hot air. No! It’s more than that: It’s downright subterfuge and lies. As I have documented time and time again, Donald Trump is a warmonger’s warmonger. Why else do you think the biggest warmonger in Congress, Senator Lindsey Graham, is one of Trump’s biggest fans?
Trump talks about ending endless wars, but he doesn’t mean it. In fact, he has escalated and expanded war and military conflict all over the world; he has expanded U.S. military bases globally (especially in Eastern Europe); he has exploded the growth of taxpayer dollars for the U.S. (aka New World Order) war machine; and he has significantly increased the amount of bombs that America has dropped—bombs that have killed thousands of innocent civilians around the world, especially in the Middle East. In fact, Donald Trump drops a bomb somewhere in the world every 12 minutes. And all of his rhetoric aside, Trump is NOT removing U.S. forces from Syria.
And now, Trump’s insatiable war lust has taken him to Venezuela. It’s not a matter of if or when our troops are going to Venezuela; they are already there. Long before the public is told about the presence of U.S. troops in a foreign theater, the CIA and Special Ops have long been there. You and I both know that the U.S. war in Venezuela has already begun. The base of operations is in neighboring Colombia—just like the base of operations in the Syrian war is in neighboring Iraq. John Bolton’s personal notes say 5,000 U.S. troops will be going to Colombia.
Speaking of Colombia, does anyone not think it rather odd that the U.S. government is able to use Colombia—the largest producer of illicit drugs in the Western Hemisphere—from which to launch a war? Everyone—including the U.S. government—knows that Colombia is controlled by drug cartels. Everyone—including the U.S. government—knows that Colombia is where most of the cocaine found on the streets of America comes from. And the U.S. is using Colombia as a base of operations to stage a military coup against Venezuela? Really?
Tell me, what danger does Venezuela pose to the safety and security of the United States? That’s right, NONE.
So, while Donald Trump wants to build an illegal wall (so says Judge Andrew Napolitano) on America’s southern border—ostensibly to keep illegal drugs (and other things) out of our country (which I’m ALL FOR keeping out)—he is using the drug-exporting capital of the western world (Colombia) as a base of operations for U.S. forces to overthrow Venezuela’s leaders, because…yeah, because why?
Before I leave the subject of Colombia though, most of us know why America is on such friendly terms with the drug-exporting capital of the western world, don’t we? It’s because our own federal government (via criminal Dark Ops within our CIA, America’s Special Forces and private contractors hired by these Dark Ops miscreants) is the world’s biggest distributor of Colombian cocaine, that’s why.
Several years ago, a retired federal agent, who had worked in at least four different federal police agencies—including the DEA—sat across a lunch table from me at a Cracker Barrel restaurant and told me point-blank that America’s “war on drugs” was nothing more than the attempt of the federal government to “get rid of the competition” (his words). He told me that he saw it up close and personal and knew what he was talking about. And he gave me details and showed me things that convinced me he was telling the truth. That was during G.W. Bush’s presidency.
I also had a retired CIA agent tell me his personal experiences of witnessing the CIA haul cocaine and other hard drugs on military C-130 cargo planes back and forth from Colombia and other Central and South American countries. And as I personally know this man, I know he was telling the truth. That was during Bill Clinton’s presidency.
Criminal elements within our federal government are bringing more drugs into this country than all of the individual drug runners from Mexico put together. A wall on our southern border MIGHT achieve some good (although I have my doubts and still do not like border walls). But one thing it will not do is stop the world’s biggest distributor of illegal drugs, the criminal clandestine forces within the U.S. government, from bringing drugs into this country. They will just fly over the wall in C-130 aircraft.
Now, back to Venezuela.
The Ron Paul Institute reports:
As developments in Venezuela continue to spiral out of control, it’s starting to look like history repeating – the US and its European allies are acting in exactly the same way as they did in Syria and Libya.
Sanctions, the legitimacy card, and backing the opposition – US tactics used in Syria are now in action in Caracas.
Daniel McAdams, director of the Ron Paul Institute, says the US and its European allies are pushing Venezuela towards a civil war.
“Here we go again. This is like Syria redux. This is exactly what happened in Syria and in Libya. They’re playing the exact same game over and over again,” he said.
Ron Paul himself agrees:
American intervention in Venezuela’s affairs is not only hypocritical, but “unwise, very dangerous, it will be costly, it’s against our rules, and if they pretend that we have to go in because we want to spread American values, those aren’t my values!” Paul exclaimed, pointing out that the US criticizes other countries for alleged ‘meddling’ but “when we do it, it’s right and proper and almost holy.”
Warning that Maduro will not roll over and relinquish power without a fight – and that the other Western countries lining up behind self-appointed President Juan Guaidó are probably only doing so to avoid economic retaliation from Washington – Paul lamented the Trump administration’s inability to learn from history.
“Have a look at US foreign policy of the last 10 years!” Paul implored, begging the US to at least learn from the lessons of the ‘war on terror.’
“I’m sure there’s some harm done by Maduro and others,” Paul said, adding that he’s a harsh critic of Venezuela’s socialism, which “usually leads to impoverishment” – but it’s not “our job” to carry out “unnecessary interventions.”
And sometimes entertainers understand the criminality of unconstitutional wars of aggression better than our politicians and pastors.
Comedian Lee Camp nailed it:
The US establishment has put aside its internal political divides to unite in cheering on a foreign intervention, backed by the might of the entire American media, Lee Camp says in the latest Redacted Tonight.
“I am not saying things are great down there in Venezuela – they aren’t. But pro-war propaganda and US imperialism isn’t curing anything,” Camp said during the opening segment of his satirical show.
Camp says that a mixture of misplaced concern and naked self-interest makes Washington “treat every humanitarian crisis like a baby bird” – nurturing an already perilous economic and political situation into an out-and-out conflict.
The host lists a series of recent examples where the US appears to have made things worse – either by leaving its job incomplete, or most often, by wading in, in the first place – including Iraq, Libya, and Syria.
But Venezuela’s socialism puts it in ideological opposition to Washington, while its oil reserves make it an irresistible geopolitical target – past experiences be damned.
“The Venezuelan people deserve self-determination, regardless of how you feel about the current government – the absolute last thing they need is to be turned into a neoliberal parking lot,” Camp sums up, noting the solid ties between self-proclaimed opposition “president” Juan Guaido with Washington and the IMF.
Ahh! Camp touched on the heart of the matter: OIL. And not just oil; Venezuela is also rich in GOLD.
Read this report:
The decades-long US infatuation with Venezuela came to a head on Wednesday as the United States, Canada, Brazil, and others all declared a man who never even ran for the office of presidency, much less got elected to the office, as the president of Venezuela.
On Wednesday, Juan Gerardo Guaidó Márquez took a public oath of office and swore himself in as the President of Venezuela. He assumed this office with zero democratic process—essentially making himself a dictator—and was immediately declared legitimate by Washington.
This move by Washington to recognize Guaidó as the official president is a page out of the book they’ve used over the last two decades to invade and destroy countries like Iraq, Libya, and Syria. The exact same rhetoric from the bipartisan warmongers in DC is being put out once more as shills like Marco Rubio threaten all out war. All of the sudden, Trump’s haters are coming together in solidarity, seething with their warmongering mucus over the potential for a Venezuelan conflict.
For those who don’t remember, nearly the exact same tactics were used just before the US invaded Libya and turned this bastion of hope in Africa into a terror-infused hell-state in which human slaves are now openly sold in public.
Just like Guaidó claimed to be president and was recognized by the US, in Libya, the head of the Libyan National Transitional Council, Mustafa Abdul Jalil threatened mass deaths if the West did not intervene and was quickly given control. Days later, the Libyan NTC was officially recognized as the Libyan government and the Gaddafi regime was out. Days after this, NATO powers, led by the US, proceeded to turn Libya into the war ravaged hell hole it is today.
In the next few days, you can expect this move by the US to stoke potential for a civil war in Venezuela which would draw in other countries like Cuba and Brazil [not to mention Russia]. The result of this potential civil war would be utterly catastrophic.
Just like in Libya, the current conflict in Venezuela is far bigger than some humanitarian crisis as they are sitting on mountains of gold and oil.
And who did President Trump pick to lead the war against Venezuela? The ultra-war criminal and Zionist neocon CFR globalist extraordinaire, the Darth Vader of the U.S. State Department, Elliott Abrams:
Elliott Abrams, a controversial neoconservative figure who was entangled in the Iran-Contra affair, has been named as a Trump administration special envoy overseeing policy toward Venezuela, which has been rocked by a leadership crisis.
Abrams’ appointment, announced Friday by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, is something of a surprise — President Donald Trump nixed his 2017 bid to be deputy secretary of State after learning that Abrams had criticized him.
Abrams will now be one of several special envoys Pompeo has brought on board to tackle thorny issues. He takes on his role at an unusually volatile time in U.S.-Venezuelan relations.
Abrams, who served in the Reagan and George W. Bush administrations, is a well-known and somewhat controversial figure in U.S. foreign policy circles.
He has often expressed hawkish views and is fiercely pro-Israel [like Trump and Pompeo, Abrams is an ultra-Zionist].
Abrams was deputy national security adviser in the George W. Bush administration and was instrumental in Middle East policy at the time, including supporting the U.S. invasion of Iraq.
There were also allegations that he supported a military coup attempt in Venezuela in 2002, damaging the U.S. relationship with the government there after the plot ultimately failed.
Abrams held multiple positions at the State Department under President Ronald Reagan, including assistant secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs.
He was one of the Reagan administration’s fiercest advocates of armed support for Nicaraguan rebels and thus becae [sic] caught up in the Iran-Contra scandal.
In 1991, he pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of withholding information from Congress about secret efforts to aid the rebels. President George H.W. Bush pardoned him the next year.
Abrams, who in recent years has been at the Council on Foreign Relations think tank, noted the timing of his return to the State Department. “I left this building 30 years ago this week, last time I worked here. So it’s very nice to be back,” he said.
Face it: Donald Trump has surrounded himself with the dregs of government, a dean’s list of warmongers, globalists, Zionists and CFR elitists. And please STOP making excuses for Trump by saying he doesn’t realize what he’s doing. Balderdash! He knows exactly what he’s doing. Like every recent President before him, Donald Trump is a robot of the globalist Deep State that enriches itself off the spoils of perpetual war. And Trump is all too happy to oblige them with yet another foreign war, this one in oil-rich, gold-rich Venezuela.
